I told a little fib. Just one of those little white lies?

I did give up FB for about, oh, I don't know, 4 days, and then succumbed to going back! I had too many people say, "where are you?", "I need to talk to you".  Isn't it strange how the people we have known our entire lives or for many years needs to get a hold of us, via FB!? 

I really do think I miss the good ol' days of writing handwritten letters and classic telephone calls. How and why did our society become so technology driven? Is this why things are so much more fast paced and people more stressed out?

Enough rambling, back to my 'whiteness'. I didn't keep my end of the bargain up on blogging!  I thought I would but by the time the wifely duties and mothering is complete at the end of the night, I am beat and just want to dive into my electric heated warm bed!  Then, if there is enough energy, I tried to read for a few minutes before that puts me to sleep.

I love love love blogging.  Did I mention that? I think we are just so caught up with getting more done in one day than we should allow ourselves.  This is the fast paced life styles we are all most of us are living today. I am sorry I disappoint some of you (no names mentioned) in my blogging but I am at least trying to keep you all updated with pictures, etc.   In fact, I am going to do another post with some pictures of Blay over the past month to show you our craziness, and it just took another big turn.

T-BALL!!!

That's right, Blay's first t-ball practice is on Tuesday and his first game is on April 2. This is the reason for the baseball themed blog. He is excited about playing t-ball and told the coach last night he wanted to be number 00 and have 'BLAY' on his back.

Well, I have rambled enough for now. Hopefully, I won't have to row to get Blay from school this afternoon since we have received about 3-4" of rain from Mother Nature today.

A couple pictures

I just wanted to share a couple pictures with you all.

The first one is of Blay playing on the swing set Sunday afternoon. It was a GORGEOUS day!!! I even went outside to 'play' with my men! And I do not got out in the winter....I'm to much of a wimp!

The next picture is of Blay last night working on his Cubbies stuff of Awana. He was actually coloring a picture of a stegosaurus with a pencil.  This was part of "Under the Apple Tree". He was making it for his teacher Ms. Heather!

I also talked to his director today at school. I received compliments on our parenting because they said "He is the most mannered, well-behaved child".  And "he is maturing very well".  Let me tell you, nothing warms the heart of a mother more than that! That means we are doing something right, right?  :)

Tonight is a full night....Lowe's, Moe's, and Church. Then off to the house for bedtime stories, prayers and bedtime. 

We don't have anything to exciting planned this weekend. We are having dinner at my dad's because my sister and brother-in-law from CT are coming in for the long weekend! And, either before of after dinner with our family, my sister and niece will be coming to the house!  I can't get enough of that little girl!  Also, my other sister is getting married on Sunday to her beloved! 

Busy Busy Busy!!!

FB break

I know it has been more than one month since my last post. The last post was during our last big snow. I don't even remember what I talked about without going back and reading the actual post itself.

However, I am going to start updating on here more than before for the fact that I am taking a FB break.  I need a technology break.  I am backing off of the FB thing for a while so keep up with what is going on with our lives here, on our blog. This is the main reason I created the blog site!  :)

I will eventually re-activate my FB account but not this week (it's going to be hard I know) but I let it control too much of my life and I need to focus that time and energy on other areas of my life!

I hope you all understand.  If you need to talk, rant, rave, etc then feel free to just email me or leave a comment at the end of a blog.  :)

I will put some pictures up soon to the newest edition of our family! Little Georgia Coley Howell, my beautiful neice.

Also, I have uploaded some vacation pictures as promised to the Picasa site (see right).  I couldn't make two sites so I just included them on the one I am currently utilizing for Blay.

SNOW TIME

What a crazy way to end and start a new year. Two large snows within 2 weeks of each other!?!?  This rarely happens in the south.

John and I were both home yesterday, he sick, me because office was closed. We're home today playing in the snow. Since the temps got jsut above freezing, we could actually make snowballs and build a snowman today. Here are some pictures.

TTU Pride!!!

There are a lot more pictures on my FB page. They will be added to Picasa at the end of the month. We were outside for about 1.5 hours today. Since it's hovering around 34, it was more bearable than the 20 minutes outside yesterday when it was 24.

Blay and I are supposed to go back outside later after we thaw out and rest a little bit. He wasn't ready to come in but we were both tired from 'swamping' through the 9" of snow. It has snow some more today but not a lot. There is supposed to be more tonight with the temperatures in the teens.

I'm praying the daycare will open so we can go to work tomorrow. But, if it freezes really badly, I don't know that they will. They usually do open on the third day of county schools being closed. Though we've only had to deal with this one other time!

I love the beauty of the snow. The purity it produces. It's so fresh and clean. Much how our lives should be. This is part of the changes I want to make for myself this year. For a better me. A healthier me. A better person all around. :)

Well, off I go. Going to start the new Picasa Vacation website shortly. I may only get one vacation uploaded but it will be a start. You can access it to the right of the screen when I get it added on here.
