Five months too long! I am surprised my fellow bestie blogger hasn't flogged me yet! She's poked me a few times about it though!
I have really been out of the swing of it. Not motivated. Too much going on. If only I didn't have to work! If only there were like 30 hours in a day! And I only had to work 8 of them! And sleep 8 of them!
So, I will slowly attempt to get back into the swing of blogging, whether any one actually reads it or not!
Oh yea! I even started uploading photos! I am way behind. February 2011! Really! I will be working on adding those to the PhotoStream as well at Picasa. You can click on the link below to get to them!
Enjoy and lots of love!
A blog site for a variety of events, awesome finds, praises, complainings, and whatever else comes up! Please make sure you sign in on the guestbook at the bottom of the page and the photo slides of all of my little family. I hope you enjoy!

My Craftiness completed
Well, for now.
I have many more things I want to do!
The first being the making of our own Christmas cards using Blay's feet.
The second making memory frames for the grandparents. Shhh, don't tell them. And if they are reading this, they don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about! ;)
The third is the making of some ornaments for friends and some family.
Below, is the first of many things I plan on being crafy with!
I haven't hung it on the door yet since my Halloween sign is still up. However, a friend placed her on a shelf (below) which I didn't even think about! So now, I'm rethinking where I am going to place my 'D' at. The door or on my mantle?? Too many decisions...
Another thing, what to do on the front door if I do put my crafty project on the mantle? Any suggestions??

Feeling Crafty
Maybe it's the weather? Maybe it's the season? I don't know but I'm in a crafty kind of mood! I am going today to buy the things I need so I can try and make a door hanger for the fall season.
My plan is to take this:

And change it up. I will of course use a 'D' instead of an 'S'.
I am still going to use the twine around the letter (available from Hobby Lobby) but I am going to make it more colorful.
Instead of the white flowers, I am going to use a mum or a daisy or something representing fall and it's many colors.
Instead of the black ribbon bow, I am going to use a coordinating color with the flower I pick.
Lastly, I will buy a bigger version of the same color ribbon to staple to the back of the letter to be able to hang from the door.
I will probably go buy the items today and work on it during my little road trip tomorrow, at least the wrapping of the twine! I have another idea for Christmas already to go! I will just have to buy the items the closer it gets to Christmas.
All of these ideas were found on Pinterest and posted to my boards. You can go to Pinterest and see the above idea and much much more!
Happy Crafting!

Waiting on my direction
So the shoes, both pair of Sketchers, were a BIG hit with our 4 year old. Who would of known a 4 year old's favorite birthday present (s) would be a couple pair of Sketchers. :)
The party turned out well too. Thanks to all the family and friends who came out for our little guy. I can't believe 'five' is next!! I wish time would just slow down some.
On the 15th, Blay's actual birthday,we took off work early and took him bowling and to the arcade at the newest bowling business in town. The place, Pin Strikes, was really neat. Laser tag, arcade, bowling, and much more! While Blay had fun bowling, I think he had more fun in the arcade with his dad. After Pin Strikes, Blay got to pick his place to eat, sort of. He wanted Taco Bell (wish we had just ate a few days prior) but eventally decided since he couldn't go to Taco Bell, he wanted to go to Moe's.
And what a great day for him to pick Moe's! Monday is free kids day at Moe's! I think he's turning into his mom with trying to be frugal and just doesn't know it yet! :) Why do I think this? Well, on Wednesday this past week he decided dinner at Firehouse Subs where on Wednesday's, after 4pm, kids eat free! :)
Anyways, after Moe's we went home to find two presents waiting for him. His light-up Sketcher shoes and his SpiderMan sock. He was super excited. I wish I had a picture of his face as it was priceless.
Nothing much has gone on since his birthday. Just our daily rountine.
Blay did start computer class at school this year and so far he loves it. I hope he continues to learn and love computers as it is his future!
As far as 'waiting on my direction', I am tying to decide what to be when I grow up! I know, I know, I'm 30 so that means I am grown right? Well, I am trying to decide what to do in obtaining my Masters degree. I'm stuck on what I want to do. Or if I should just obtain some type of certificate program for something like HR, whose job market is on the rise.
Please pray for guidance as I travel down deep in this road called life that I may find my 'calling'.
God Bless!

Kohls
Who doesn't love a great deal right?! Especially on items ordered online and shipped to the doorstep!
I am super excited right now thanks to Kohls and the awesome coupon code I just found for Kohls.
I just bought Blay two pair of Sketchers shoes shipped to the door for less than the price of a normal 'sale' price of Sketcher shoes.
2 Pair of Sketchers + Tax + Shipping - Promo code = $32!!!
This frugal momma couldn't be happier! I am not going to give my four year old two pair of shoes on his birthday! How boring of a mom would I be if I did that, right?! So, I got in touch with my mom in law and she is going to use one of the pair of shoes for Blay's birthday along with another gift so neither one of us are boring! :)
The kid is crazy over these Sketchers and are the only shoes he has ever asked for. The second pair of Sketchers are a little more dressier for church, special events, etc. They have more of a 'hiking boot' look to them. Blay has his mom's shoe fettish so I am going to be in trouble one day....

DaySpring E-Cards
What more can I say about DaySpring? DaySpring is a great online shop for buying all kinds of Christian goodies from cards, devotional books, and gifts. DaySpring also offers e-cards, some free and some for purchase.
Thanks to being an email participate of theirs, I received an awesome E-Card from them today to check out. It is from the upcoming movie Courageous that is set to be released on September 30, 2011. The E-Card is a good indication that the movie is going to be as good as it's predecessor FireProof. Check out the Courageous E-Card clip below to get a small taste of the movie.

Mary, Mary, quite contrary....
How does your garden grow?? I don't know but it is growing like a weed, literally.
So I did it. I spent about 2 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday canning tomatoes, for the first time ever. With our garden growing graciously out of control, I had to do something with the 30+ tomatoes we've accumulated in the last 3 or 4 days. With these tomatoes, I canned 10 1/2 jars of 'stewed' tomatoes. These tomatoes are great when mixed in with some cooked elbow macaroni! Yum! Macaroni and Tomatoes......
So I didn't spend the whole weekend doing this but it did take me some time on Saturday since it was the first time I have attempted to do it. We shall see next weekend how well my canning came out with the tomatoes, especially since the Apple Butter last year works better over vanilla bean ice cream. But it is still really yummy over warm, fresh biscuits too. :)
Our garden. What can I say about it other than I think I bit off more than I could chew for the first year of ever having a true garden. We have soo much produce! And it's still producing. I don't know how much we have given away much less ate.... It's been a little overwhelming but I do enjoy it. I enjoy the 'fruits' of the labor we have made for ourselves this year.
Yesterday, I made for us soup beans, cabbage, tomatoes, squash and zucchini, okra, and cornbread. Everything I made was from the garden expect for the bean and the cornbread. John was overly excited when he sat down to eat the 'meatless' country dinner. Especially since my cornbread held almost perfectly together. There was a little tear in the top but it was sooo delicious....
Blay slept while John and I ate. While this wasn't our intention, it just happened he went to sleep when we made him sit on his bed for a time out. When John went back in to talk with him, he was snoozing, so we let him snooze. Poor little guy had a long weekend with late nights. Albeit, he had fun during his long and late weekend. In fact, his weekend has continued in to today as he and his daddy are out and about for a Daddy Blay day with Cars 2 on the agenda. We shall see how things are when I get home. :) Though, Blay is usually really good for his daddy.
I hope I can continue the trend of blogging more than once every two months. My agenda for next week (now that my blog is changed, one color, and more functional) is to try to figure out how to link to Facebook and to upload pictures to my home computer as well as to Picasa. In case you can't find Picasa now, it is located below the postings.
I hope you find the 'new' blog more readable and functional. I am open to any and all criticisms though, so please, criticize away.

Poked enough
uSo I have decided I have been 'poked' enough by some certain someone. :) I figured after the second 'poke' I should post something right. :) I mean, she just had her second child and can still play our scrabble games, post pictures, and blog so I should be able to do that right!?
First, another apology for not updating more frequently for those of you who do read. :) The last couple of months have been crazy and that is NO exaggeration. We have been in a non-stop race it seems like since T-Ball started. I thought after T-Ball ended we would have a little more 'free' time (is there really such a thing). However; we have been duped. It's been non-stop. I only hope things can calm down, even if brieftly before fall T-Ball starts up. If you don't believe our schedules just take a look at this!
This was our family schedule just for last week:
Sunday: Church, Lunch at El Metate, Start of VBS, and John leaving for Nashville
Monday: John Nashville, Church VBS
Tuesday: John Nashville, Pampered Chef Party
Wednesday: John Nashville, Church VBS
Thursday: John and I in Nashville
Friday: Home from Nashville; Walmart trip for Saturday; then to pick up a sick little boy
Saturday: Breakfast; Play time with Blay; Baby shower; Store; Going away party
Shew! Just reading this makes me tired much less actually doing all these things. Although, I am not going to complain. I had a blast with famly and friends and even got some awesome and free Pampered Chef stuff. I like bestressed under pressure! I feel I work my best when I am that way.
So this week has been calmer. Just one party this weekend. :) And it is not at our home, which is even better.
And just in case you were wondering, the little guy is better, just dealing with a cough. That makes for a happy mommy. Now, to stop the potty regression and the attitude!!!
Love you all!!!
P.S. - Should I just make the back drop one big pretty picture and not the colums?

Caught off Guard
It did not dawn on my until last night, while at Blay's pre-school graduation program (no he was not graduating, only performing with his 'class') that I am only a year or two away from him going to KINDERGARTEN!!!! Let's just say, I am NOT ready for this.
I know he's growing up and all but really? This soon? This fast? Why can't time just slow down a little? At times I think having another child while felp me with him when it comes to big milestones like Kindergarten but it won't. I will just have another child to tell time to 'stop' with. My baby boy is no longer a baby and this makes me sad.
He talks, walks, and interacts like a little man, not like ababy boy. Last night sitting there, watching the program, my heart was already aching thinking of what the future held with him growing up. Thinking of the many milestones he has accomplished and those he has yet to accomplish. I know it is a part of life but for a Mom, I think it is one of the hardest parts of life. Watching your 'baby' grow. It's so bittersweet.
On another note, only Blay and his best friend Wesley from their class are the only ones who showed up last night for their part in the program. They did the best duet (and Blay a couple solos)!!!! They sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells. I know your thinking "Christmas Songs in May"? But, the program was about the seasons of the graduating Pre-K classes year at school so each group (3 years up) had different seasons to sing about! They were great.
When I get the pictures uploaded, I will post a few here for you.
Have a Happy Friday and a Good LLLOOOONNNNNGGGGG WEEKEND!

I am HORRIBLE!!!!
I did NOT realize it had been more than one month, almost two, since I have made a good post on here!!! Wow!!! Someone knock me up side the head sometime before I go this long (Jill). :)
I do have some new pictures I will upload to Picasa. I am doing better about uploading photos to there at least!
There is not a whole lot to report. We just got back from a great trip to Gatlinburg for Mother's Day weekend. We spent two days at Dollywood. Blay spent 3 days there! John and I went shopping Sunday while the in-laws took Blay to Dollywood. There is only so much an adult can do there for 2 days without getting bored, much less 3!
We are also still very much in T-Ball mode. While we did take a much needed break from T-ball and everything else last week, we are back in full swing as of last night. Blay is fielding and hitting much better. We are going to have to work with him a little more though. John has started trying to see how he will hit right handed. Hey, the pros switch hit don't they? :)
Blay is also doing much better in school. The compliment we received this am was that he is a very polite boy. That makes my heart so proud! I work hard with manners daily. Now, if I could just get his attitude to go with his contant manners I would be even more happy!
Blay is extremely happy at the moment. His daddy bought him an Army Diesel truck. Not only is my child obsessed with anything army and truck related, he is very obssessed with diesels! I do not know where he has become so obssessed with diesels but EVERYTHING is a diesel.
Anytime we leave the house now, he wants to ride in the truck, not the 'special' car or mommy's car but the truck. I'll have to take a picture to show you all the 'truck' that is now his.
Well, I need to get back to work but I wanted to do a quick update for those who do actually read the blog. Maybe I don't write more because one other person besides me are the only ones who read it?
Love to all who take the time to read! God Bless!

I think he's a natural...
Don't you! :)
These are some pictures from the last 4 practices we have had, or shall I say, the only 4 practices we have had. We have two more before opening ceremonies and the first game.
I am proud of my little guy and I think he is going to be a very good ball player. He does have his daddy's genes right? :-)~
We have worked with him on and off the past year trying to get him ready. I'm glad because now he really enjoys it. He gets to be on the Angels with his 'friends' (Blay's word) and play some baseball! It's so cute to watch.
I will be uploading some pictures to Picasa tonight so keep an eye out to the right of your screen for changes!

Blay getting ready to chow at Taco Bell.
Blay wearing a paper hat at his Great Grandmothers 76th Birthday Lunch.
My pudding face fireman!
So maybe,
I told a little fib. Just one of those little white lies?
I did give up FB for about, oh, I don't know, 4 days, and then succumbed to going back! I had too many people say, "where are you?", "I need to talk to you". Isn't it strange how the people we have known our entire lives or for many years needs to get a hold of us, via FB!?
I really do think I miss the good ol' days of writing handwritten letters and classic telephone calls. How and why did our society become so technology driven? Is this why things are so much more fast paced and people more stressed out?
Enough rambling, back to my 'whiteness'. I didn't keep my end of the bargain up on blogging! I thought I would but by the time the wifely duties and mothering is complete at the end of the night, I am beat and just want to dive into my electric heated warm bed! Then, if there is enough energy, I tried to read for a few minutes before that puts me to sleep.
I love love love blogging. Did I mention that? I think we are just so caught up with getting more done in one day than we should allow ourselves. This is the fast paced life styleswe are all most of us are living today. I am sorry I disappoint some of you (no names mentioned) in my blogging but I am at least trying to keep you all updated with pictures, etc. In fact, I am going to do another post with some pictures of Blay over the past month to show you our craziness, and it just took another big turn.
T-BALL!!!
That's right, Blay's first t-ball practice is on Tuesday and his first game is on April 2. This is the reason for the baseball themed blog. He is excited about playing t-ball and told the coach last night he wanted to be number 00 and have 'BLAY' on his back.
Well, I have rambled enough for now. Hopefully, I won't have to row to get Blay from school this afternoon since we have received about 3-4" of rain from Mother Nature today.
Love to all who read!

A couple pictures
I just wanted to share a couple pictures with you all.
The first one is of Blay playing on the swing set Sunday afternoon. It was a GORGEOUS day!!! I even went outside to 'play' with my men! And I do not got out in the winter....I'm to much of a wimp!
The next picture is of Blay last night working on his Cubbies stuff of Awana. He was actually coloring a picture of a stegosaurus with a pencil. This was part of "Under the Apple Tree". He was making it for his teacher Ms. Heather!
Is he just not the sweetest thing!
I also talked to his director today at school. I received compliments on our parenting because they said "He is the most mannered, well-behaved child". And "he is maturing very well". Let me tell you, nothing warms the heart of a mother more than that! That means we are doing something right, right? :)
Tonight is a full night....Lowe's, Moe's, and Church. Then off to the house for bedtime stories, prayers and bedtime.
We don't have anything to exciting planned this weekend. We are having dinner at my dad's because my sister and brother-in-law from CT are coming in for the long weekend! And, either before of after dinner with our family, my sister and niece will be coming to the house! I can't get enough of that little girl! Also, my other sister is getting married on Sunday to her beloved!
Busy Busy Busy!!!
Talk with you soon!
