Fun filled weekend

I have been trying to get this posting done all week but some little 2 yr old hasn't cooperated enough with me during the mornings or nap time for me to be able to do so. So I'll do a really quick summary!

On Friday, while his daddy was out of town, Blay spent the night with his Poppa and Yanna with cousins Gabbie and Ashton. He had so much fun! I had a blast cleaning house :o(....

Anyways, he ate good, slept good, and played good. Here is a picture of him and Gabbie from Saturday morning!

On Saturday, after lunch and naptime, Blay nad I headed to a friends house to watch the UT game and to have a playdate. I don't know what Blay thought was going on. He was the only boy with three girls ages 1 -3 1/2. He had fun playing with them and played with them very well. When we were leaving, the 3 girls were in the bathtub and Blay wanted to join them. He got mad at me because he couldn't. He did however, have fun playing with Lilly, who was in his 1 yr class at church before he moved up.

Sunday, we did our usual routine of going to church and naptime. Monday and Tuesday were our normal days with Tuesday being recycling and grocery store/drug store day.

Wednesday, Blay woke up with some bad sinus issues. He's slowly continuing to improve. He's allowed limited outdoor exposure right now with all the heat and humidity here. I am trying to make sure he's well and the drainage is gone before we get on an airplane or I'll be in for a real fun trip!

Today, he is going to Mamaw & Papaw Little's while mommy goes and gets a much needed and long overdue haircut. We may also got look for some fall decorations before or after my haircut. But one thing we are going to do is buy diapers and the video Once Upon a Potty. I'm hoping it will help him understand and want to use the potty a lot more.

Not as long

It's not been as long this time. Aren't you proud of me?! :o)

We've been a little busy trying to get the house cleaned, family visits, etc. Not to mention a very active little 2 year old.

Blay is finally over his little ear infection but has retroverted back to not sleeping again and wanting one of us to go to sleep with him. I think that is why he's been waking up two and three times a night and coming to our room. Last night I started the breakiing process of doing that, yet again. I hope he will work with me.

Along with not sleeping, he's been spitting up some and it is due to all this pollen in the air here. You would think with all the rain it would of cleared up but the day after a rain, it was right back to where it was. I put him back on his Zyrtec today hoping it will help him some.

And, in case you didn't know. Blay will start Daycare on October the 5th because I got a job. We felt he was ready (and willing) to go to school. He loves AWANAS and church and loved his MDO before we moved. The person it's going to impact the most is me!!! I will have a very hard time but I know it will be good for him.

I know, I'm awful

I have not been keeping up my end of the bargain for all of you. I promised pictures, more updates, etc etc and they haven't been getting done. And for that: I AM VERY SORRY. Seems I just don't make it any more with a fiery two year old on the loose. He's been a little sick with his second ear infection and a red throat. I took him to PM Pediatrics on Sunday night and got his meds started immediately. He seems to be feeling better other than being defiant some.

Okay already....

I know...some of you aren't very happy I quit blogging for a while...Jill :o)...but after we moved, we have been tirelessly working to get some major updates done to the house before Blay's big day this weekend.

We have painted and stripped wallpaper in 4 rooms now and replaced lighting, counters, backsplash, faucets, etc in a lot of areas. The house is a newer house just built by an older couple so we are modernizing it to fit us! We are in a stetch to do the big stuff before Saturday.

What's Saturday??? BLAY WILL BE 2!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it. I have already been getting reary eyed just thinking about it. I look back at when he was born and his 1st birthday last year and can't believe it is here again. They grow soo quickly. I am so happy I get to spend this time with him at home. I would of missed out on so much with him!!!!

Blay has had a couple of first in the last week or so. He touched his first snake, yes, snake. And he's been stung by a bee...twice now. Luckily, I don't think he's going to be allergic to them like I am but I do still keep a close eye on him just in case he flares up to them.

Blay loved the snake. He wanted to 'hold it', and 'touch it', and 'kiss it'. Those are his 3 favorite things to do with just about anything, or anyone at this point in time. John held it's head still so he could touch it and stuff. We think it was just a little garden snake or something. Not real sure.

Blay loves his new house. He gets a whole wing to himself pretty much. He's got what John calls a 'suite' with a bonus room. We are using the sunroom as his play room. The toys end up in other areas of the house but he has done pretty good about putting them back or helping us put him back.

Well, I need to get off of here and go paint another coat on the railing of the front porch!!! Before it rains. I promise, I wll have pictures on the next posting and will update Picasa with August and Junes just as soon as I can.
