Sick & Better

Hey guys, I know it has been a while but we've been busy, and sick! I started feeling bad last week and am just now over it. I thought I was getting the flu with the achy bones, etc but then I started feeling nauseated, etc. I finally got sick Sat. morning around 430 am (after being up since 3 am feeling sick) which felt great! I got to see my dad off for his hunt and leaving for home.

Blay luckily has not gotten this virus or whatever it was that I had. I can finally eat small meals and keep it in, which is better than what I've been doing the last few days.

We are in Kingsport and have been since last Fri and will spend Thanksgiving up here. Blay is having a ball seeing his cousins, grandparents, and all the other family members that don't get to see him a lot. I hope I can keep him well from this trip, it is winter time.

Speaking of, it was spitting snow this morning pretty good. It isn't doing anything now. There's a chance of it tomorrow too. I wish it would snow like it did up here on Friday. It was pretty.

No pictures right now but I have uploaded some new ones to Picasa. They are the album's labeled with Nanaw. I haven't edited them yet, but will get to it soon!

Another doctor visit

Another doctor visit but this one was schedule. Blay had to go for his 15 month checkup yesterday. 15 months!!! I just can't believe it. He'll be married before I know it!

Anyways, the doctor was just amazed at how calm he was when he was listening to his chest and lungs, and checking out his eyes and ears. Blay had something to say about looking at his gums and then checking his throat. He had even more to say when Nurse Carrie gave him 4 shots. Two in each leg. He was only scheduled for 3 but he got the 1st of 2 flu shots. He'll return in a month for the other one.

He said he was fine, happy, healthy, normal little boy. Also, that he could eat whatever he wanted to eat or would eat because he's soo mobile and active that he's just going to burn off everything anyways. I was becoming worried because he LOVES chicken nuggets and ravioli.

His measurements:

Height: 30 1/2 inches -- 25th percentile
Weight: 21.5 lbs -- 10th percentile
Head cir: 18 1/4

He was in the 15th percentile for weight and height at 1 yr so he's gotten better in the height cat. just not in the weight but the doctor isn't concerned.

Well, I have to get busy while he's still asleep!

Lots of Food and Fun

Okay, I know Thanksgiving is still a week away but we got started a little early yesterday.

After church, we went and got Blay's power Jeep from the neighbors. She sold it to me for only $10!!! I could not pass up on this. Everytime Blay is over there, in there garage, he climbs on the Jeep to try to drive it. At times, he knows to press the gas pedal to go forward but he can't figure out how to do both at the same time. His daddy tries to help him but I think it may take a few times before he gets the hang of it. Here's some pics of him on the Jeep.

After Blay's lunch and an afternoon nap (he's only been taking 1 until today, we were back to 2), we all got ready to head to my Mom's house for an early Thanksgiving dinner. Blay, well, he started throwing his ham and bread as soon as we sat down. Needless to say, there was too much going on for him to eat. He didn't want to have any part of it then. Mom and Mark and John tried to feed him as well but he wasn't having it.

He played with Cousin Elijah for a while after dinner. THey watched Spongebob together and enjoyed climbing under the coffee table. Here are some pictures of them.

My mom had several family members Blay hasn't ever seen over, and possibly won't make next year. My Granny and Pappaw were there with my cousin Mycayla. My step dad's parents were there, Rose and Joe, and Willie (my sister's beau) grandfather was there. Blay got to play and spend time with all of them. We all had a good time. Blay finally ate and what was it??? A piece and half of pineapple upside down cake. Thanks Mom, it was delicious. What I got to eat of it anyways!

Here's some pics of Blay with the family.

I don't have any pictures of Blay with Rose and Joe but they enjoyed him too. I think yesterday just prepped all of us for some belt expanding next week! Oh, we can't wait. But Thanksgiving already! Where has the year gone!?!?
