Sorry folks

Hey guys, I am sorry I haven't posted anything in 10 days, and when I said I would!! John has been off of work most of last week and we have been shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Aren't women supposed to enjoy shopping??? I haven't all that much and I've had help with Blay. I am currently tired of shopping! I think I have finished it all anyways. I've got to double check our list.

Wednesday last week, John, Blay, and myself went shopping, had a family picture made with Santa and went to the Christmas banquet at church where Blay once again saw Santa. Thursday and Friday we stayed home to clean, etc. Saturday we went back out for Blay's second flu shot, more shopping, and then lunch at McD's before my neice Gabby's 2nd birthday party. Blay had a blast but we had to leave at 2 so we could get him home for his daily nap (which was late).

We had my parents over last night and my step mom's parents over along with my nephew Elijah, and my newly engaged sister and future brother in law. I tried a new recipe of White Bean Chicken Chili. I had to wake Blay up for dinner and the company. Between being out all day and playing from the birthday party and the shot, he was exhausted. He went to bed at 9 last night too.

Blay got to open a couple presents last night from his Mamaw and Papaw little. He did good opening them and I was surprised. Once he saw the Backyardigans guitar though, he didn't want to finish taking the paper off.

Today we went to church, Walmart (for like the 4th or 5th time this week..I know sad huh), Ross's, Kohl's and then home. Blay was so tired he went to sleep in the car with a french fry in one hand and 1/2 his cheeseburger in the other hand. He slept about 2 1/2 hours before he got up to eat his late lunch and we took off to church again!

Now, he's sleeping, I'm cold (and listening to the horrible wind blowing outside0, getting ready to do the dishes, and wrap some more Christmas presents. Tomorrow, I am going to post pictures I've taken over the last week, including the pictures of him opening his presents last night. I'm also going to upload November pictures to Picasa for all to see!

Everyone stay warm tonight!!!!

Finally ending

...the rain that is. I'm so sick of it. It's cold now and the snow is dissipating as it moves across Tenessee. Bummer for us. I was wanting some snow!!!

Anyways, I forgot to tell you that on Monday Blay had an official ID made. We did it for when we go to Hawaii and to have his information on file as a 'just in case'. He behaved very well that day and was a ham for the little old lady taking the pictures. He was smiling and blowing kisses at her. In his picture, he's even smiling.

We spent the day indoors thanks to the rain. And, Blay is having a teething spell (molars I think) so part of the day was a little rough. Oh yeah, he's got 8 teeth now!!!

We are looking forward to Mam-maw Judy coming tomorrow. She's our babysitter for Saturday while we go to the Christmas party for Sunday School. Well, she'll be here if she doesn't get snowed in! Kingsport always gets snow!

Here are some pictures from tonight. They are of when he discovered his dirt bike in the tree. I had to trick him with that so I could get him next to the tree. I know, it's only half decorated. That's because of the accident on Sunday!!!

The pj's are from his cousins, the Waterman's for his 1st birthday.

PS - I have updated Picasa, and don't forget, everyone can leave comments now!!!

Hello Again!!!

Hi, I know it's been a while but last week was just a very busy and sad week. John was out of town and Blay was going all over town to sitters so I could go to the funeral home and such. Thanks to all of you who helped! Blay had fun and I am very grateful!

Saturday we went and got our Christmas tree and a blow up Mickey holding a candycane with a present attached to his foot for Blay to put in the front yard. Lowe's had him 50% off so we got him for $30. Not a bad investment and Blay likes him. We were also supposed to of been doing some Christmas shopping but that didn't happen. I bought something for my mom and that was it.

After we shopped, at ate, we went to Hamilton Place (ugh) so Blay could get his picture made with Santa. Well, once we found a spot, went in and found Santa (around 230 -300 pm), Santa was going on his Lunch break!! Big bummer. All that hussle and bussle for nothing. We are going to try again this weekend but NOT at Hamilton Place.

Sunday night was rather intersting. Blay has been playing with the ornaments on the tree since I put them on there. (Word to those with small childrens, put not breakable, inexpensive ornaments on the bottom!) Well, after church Sunday night, while I was picking up the toys in the living room, Blay got a hold of something good on the tree and it came tumbling down!!! YIKES! He was okay. He managed for it not to fall on him, partly due to me yelling his name and grabbing the tree at the last minute. Only two or three ornaments broke so I was lucky there. Just a mess to clean up. Now, the tree is crooked and there are no ornaments for him to grab on the bottom half of the tree.

Today was good and Blay was well behaved, most of the day. We went to Bayside to check out there Mom's day out program I'm going to put him in when we get home from Hawaii!! (Only 22 days away!!!) Then we went to Target and Kohl's for some Christmas shopping. I let him down at both stores in non-breakable areas to play. He lasts longer when I let him do that. He got mad at Kohl's though because I took him away from the truck he was trying to play with while still in the box.

Overall, this week and weekend have been good. And Blay behaved except for some fits and tantrums here and there! Boy, I can't wait for the terrible two's!!!

A few days

I know it's been a few days since our last post and this won't be much of one.

Once we arrived home from Kingsport Saturday. I unpacked all our things and started laundry. Once John figured out his evening plans, I took off to see my Papaw (my mom's dad), for the last time. My papaw passed away Sunday morning a little before 11 am.

John, Blay, and myself went to visitation yesterday and I went today. Thank you to the Walker's for keeping Blay for me while I was at visitation. John's off once again out of town.

The funeral is tomorrow and Mamaw Little (Blay's former babysitter when I worked and his Yanna's mom) is going to watch him for me.

I will update with pictures, etc of Blay later on in the week and I promise to fix the new pictures added to Picasa. Below is the only picture Blay had made with his Papaw Gipson.
