Fall is Here

It's finally here!!! My most favorite time of the year! Fall, football, hunting, and cool weather!

My only complaint is this, please rain!!! I want to be able to enjoy the pretty beautiful colors of fall but if it doesn't rain, I'm afraid we won't get to. Right now, the leaves are just falling off the trees, dead. No color, nothing!

We are looking at having a large bonfire this weekend. Just the three of us. We have a big humongous brush pile we need to burn and if the burn people say it's okay to burn, then we are going to burn. We'll even buy marshmellows and hotdogs to roast while it's going.

John told Blay about it last night. He was soo excited about it, after his daddy left. :p

He even prayed and thanked God for the bonfire and marshmellows and hotdogs! He even prayed for his Mamaw Crazy. He is soo funny. But, he does know one thing! That Jesus loves him! And that just melts my soul!

Nothing beats him humming or singing "Jesus Loves Me" every day!

Love to all!

Picasa

Happy RAINY Sunday everyone! I am enjoying yesterday and today's weather soo much! I am loving the rain! And the much cooler temperatures. It is 67 degrees at my house right now! LOVE IT!

Blay has enjoyed being home. In fact, he slept until almost 8 this morning. I was already in the shower so we could begin our Sunday ritual of breakfast, dressing, and then church. He has been a mommy's boy since he has been home, which is perfectly.fine.with.me. I missed my little man tremendously. But, I shall confess a little time away was good for all of us.

Blay is currently outside riding his Jeep with his daddy passing football to Kai. Since it's not raining at the moment, he was begging to go out. He doens't care what the weather is like outside, he always likes being outdoors.

I have been working on pictures today. I uploaded Labor Day pictures to Facebook. I know have to pick out some from our Seattle trip to upload to Facebook. While in the process, I have also updated the Picasa site (see right column). I haven't done this since January so please forgive me. I got up to August. There were not any May pictures that I could find.

Why? I am getting bad about not taking any pictures or not recording any videos of my little man. I really have to get better with that. Well, with a lot of things.

I am off to finish my dinner. Parmesean Chicken Skillet! Yum!

To an end

What a visit in this city. A rather large city. The city of coffee. Full of many different characteristics and characters to say the least. A city with all the lights, sounds, and lots of strange and neat lives.

I have caught myself wondering how someone could be happy in a city such as this? With a Starbucks or two to every block, with another coffee cafe thrown into the midst. With a Capital Hill, mulitple languages, sports, cultures, lifestyles, and money.

Sports. A true passion. Ichiro and Aardsna are as good as they say they are. The fans get into the games and even talk about the other professional sports during the games. A lot of team pride, both professional and collegiate.

It's true what they say about this city, a city of grunge. I have seen much of this grunge, and I have seen much of other lifestyles. There are certain areas of town dedicated to support just them.

Also true is the mix of races. Such a neat place full of different cultures, natives, and much more. The ChinaTown district was neat. A place of shopping just for them. A shopping place full of neat foods, veggies, and household items.

Art is mandatory in this city, and must be used in every public space project. Many old and new but creative arts I have seen. In some of the weirdest strangest places they can be located. One piece, a large metal/steel umbrella, blown in the wind in the middle of a road, next to the market.

A bridge, floating on pontoons to the west of the Husky campus was unique. Making the bridge experience even more remarkable was the spotting of a Bald Eagle on the side of the bridge. In it's natural state, on the edge of Lake Washington. Watching. Waiting. In it's natural environment.

There is a lot of beauty outside of this great city. Places we were able to make it to this trip. The arbetorium. The Japanese Garden. Puget Sound. There other places I have documented to do the next time we visit, which is a must. All areas outside the city.

We connected with distant family here. The sweetest people, and great tour guides.

A city beautiful at night, with the Needle pointing towards the never ending sky. Water in the background and all aroud. The smells of fish and flowers at the market. A rather unique place and one visited often. Lite by the city lights.

While I enjoyed the short time in this city, I officially say I have had my 'share' of this, what some would say, great city. While I do plan to return someday, to see the family again, I plan on staying out of the city. Maybe out on the Sound or near Ranier or Helen. With a definite trip to British Columbia.

City life such as this is not for me. Never will be. So goodbye to the great city full of places and things I have never seen. An experience it was. I gladly welcome home, part of home that is.

What a life

Shopping. Cheesecake. Family. Pumpkin Spice Latte. Relaxing. Friends. Devotion time. What more does there need to be?

Loving this week.
